It’s not every day that us British gamers get the chance to experience something as truly tremendous and tantalising as E3 – but this year, EGX opened its loving arms (and controller ports) to the UK public at The NEC, Birmingham.
What is EGX 2015?
Like E3, EGX is a video gaming event that gives the general public the opportunity to experience some of the upcoming new releases and hardware first-hand! Alongside playable titles, there are also presentations, announcements, and competitions to keep the 4-day spectacular rolling between the 24th-27th September.
NUBI at EGX 2015
2015 marks the very first year that such a gigantic gaming event exploded into Birmingham, so it goes without saying that we had to head down and taste the delectable treats. Beauty and brilliance were on offer from the likes of Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, and a cortège of indie developers whose games were SO sexy that even the most casual of gamers went weak at the knees.
Like children at the base of a pyramid of presents on their birthday, we explored the expansive floor and were suffused by the flashing lights, flitting sounds, and smells of overpriced Subway sandwiches. It was a sight to behold: video games, glowing monitors, and merchandise as far as the eye could see. Oh, and as many free energy drinks as you dare guzzle… ouch.
