This week saw Parkway Drive‘s highly anticipated Ire World Tour roll into Birmingham. With Bury Tomorrow and Thy Art Is Murder opening the show, it was destined to be an action packed night of modern metal. The Academy was bouncing was start to finish!
What Did We Learn?
- Thy Art Is Murder may have lost their previous vocalist (CJ), but their new guy is just as good. They were brutal!
- Bury Tomorrow are the perfect support – their passion and energy really fired up the crowd, just as a support act should do!
- Parkway Drive are just as good live as they are on record. Don’t change guys!
- Pyro is always good!
- Custom tour lighting is also good – the band looked just as good as they sounded!
- Parkway are sounding the best they have ever sounded, and are only set to get bigger!
