We’ve all seen the inevitable Donald Trump/Hitler comparisons. Sure, he’s a populist right-wing leader who builds his campaign on demonising other races and religious groups with a bad hairdo, but that’s played out; everybody already knows Trump’s a cut-price blonde
other races and religious groups with a bad hairdo, but that’s played out; everybody already knows Trump’s a cut-price blonde Fuhrer wannabe.
But in the wake of Trump’s calls to ban all Muslims from the US, Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj dropped a different revelation on host Trevor Noah when he compared the presidential hopeful to ISIS:
“Donald Trump is an extremist leader who came out of nowhere. He’s self-financed, recruits through social media, attracts his followers with a radical ideology to take over the world, and is actively trying to promote a war between Islam and the West.”
He also agreed with Trump’s comments that Muslims should stay away from the USA, pointing out that it simply isn’t safe when a third of the country’s major political party backs a “racist maniac”.
White conservatives were also criticised for not very publicly denouncing his extremist views, which it is obviously their responsibility to do. Hundreds of British Muslims already did their part 3 days ago at an anti-ISIS procession in London:

The ISIS comparison is being taken even further by the great British public, with a petition to ban him from UK shores for hate speech passing 200,000 signatures within the first day. Yes, Parliament now has to hold a debate on banning Donald Trump from Britain. After all, he might radicalise our kids!
While it’s comforting to make fun of the Trumpster as if he were a moron or a curiosity, it’s easy to forget he’s running for President in a major party with the highest polling figures of all the Republican candidates. No matter what hare-brained, prejudiced or insane remarks he can still get cheers and applause.
There’s only one way to defeat this toxic ideology; it’s time to denounce #WhISIS.
