Welcome to the fortieth instalment of our weekly series: The Kings of Kickstarter. From AI personal trainers to universal modular cameras, our last Kings brought some serious design to the Roundtable. As per usual, NUBI has procured 5 Kings (and of course one jester) and presented them below. Ranked in descending order, only one can claim the title of Supreme Overlord.
#5. My Mom’s House – Photobook – Evan Carter
“It all started when my mom was out of town for New Years last year. The rest, well the pictures should tell you what happened next.”
“The original idea was probably a bad idea. But any idea you think of, sitting in the hot tub drunk on New Year’s day is probably a bad idea, so that’s why I did it.” – famous words to live by. You know the score: Ma Dukes has gone away, anything goes and in Evan Carter’s case, his sordid secret was photographing carnal flesh.
What started off as hilarious fun quickly became a logistical nightmare as he tried to ensure the absence of his mother before quickly carting in a shed load of equipment and beautiful women. More than that though, you’ve gotta respect the challenge involved in using the space; kudos to you sir, kudos.
