#2. Prey for the Gods – No Matter Studios
“To survive you must destroy the very gods you believe in.”
Anything that conjures memories of Shadow of the Colossus automatically wins. Being able to re-create that same vastness is no mean feat but Prey For The Gods looks to have done it, with a doozie of a storyline to boot. There is also something very God of War and Devil May Cry about this and I’ve got plenty of time for that.
Alongside battling monolithic beasts, it looks like you’ll be battling the elements too in a merciless frozen wasteland with dynamic weather systems. Not to mention the survival aspect of the game as you hunt for supplies whilst battling fatigue and starvation. It is bafflingly impressive how the 3-man team of No Matter Studios have crafted a game of such scale and detail.
