So the new YEEZY Boost 350 “Oxford Tan” dropped today but is all this fuss for them really worth it? Here I am ready to buy some new trainers fresh for the new year and can’t even get onto Footlocker’s website, and instead I’m being hit up with this nonsense:
But looking at the YEEZY Boost 350 “Oxford Tan” are they worth the hype? Going for about $200 they hardly seem worth lining up for; in comparison the earlier release of the Adidas Tubular goes for half the price but the designs are truly beautiful (naturally I bought 3 pairs).
Check out the design process below:
So what is the hype about these Yeezys? I personally was a fan of the Yeezy X Nike collaboration. It just seemed as though the trainers were more creative and worth the cash spent in terms of design. Unfortunately, because Kanye and the heads at Nike couldn’t get along, he left them and got picked up by the designers at Adidas. Thus the Yeezy “Boost” was born, and since then, I just don’t understand the direction of this kick line.
Just because Kanye designed them, does that mean they deserve this much attention? I understand the edgy design but to me they look cheap and weak. The minimalistic approach is just too minimalist. I would feel robbed paying that kind of price for this kind of design. Would/did you buy these?[interaction id=”5682b6633a731d3e718f25b1″]
